End-of-Life Doula Mentorship and Guidance in Portland, Oregon!

90-minute minimum consulting session

*Are you overwhelmed with all the information on the internet about death doulas?

*Are you not hearing back from death doulas you reach out to about wanting to “pick a death doula’s brain?”

*Are you curious what is Step 1 to becoming a death doula?

I opened my End-Of-Life (EOL) doula business in September of 2018. I’ll be honest with the process; there is a lot of unpaid time, and hard work that goes into building an EOL doula business or practice from nothing. I had clients before I was certified. I have also gone months with no clients. I now have a regular stream of income and clients. Let me help you build the same dream.

I’ve owned 5 successful businesses, including a nonprofit that I founded and was executive director for nearly 7 years starting at 22yrs and old right out of college. I’m not here to take your money; I’m here to help because I wish I had someone offer me 90+ minutes to go over all these things I will go over with you. But, there is a value as I guarantee you will walk away ready to make a better-informed decisions, goals for yourself, and some important ‘life’ steps in order to follow your calling!

What we go over in 90 minutes on Zoom or over the phone:

  1. What called you want to become an End-Of-Life (EOL) death doula or death worker?
  2. We’ll dive into your personality type and how important it is to understand personalities and behaviors to best serve those you work with. This is a unique perspective you won’t find in many certifications or training programs.
  3. We’ll talk about all the many different roles/services an EOL death doula can serve a person who is sick and/or dying. Meagan will thoroughly explain what each role/service means and what it looks like. You may be called to serve in one or many different ways and roles/services as a death doula.
  4. We’ll talk about the importance of becoming certified, ethics, and becoming confident in your abilities to work with people who are dying and their family and/friends/support system.
  5. Can I make a living at this?
    1. How much do you NEED to earn right now?
    2. Have you ever worked as an independent contractor before?
    3. How to juggle a current job and build a business from scratch?
    4. Do you want to work for a hospice or other organization that is hiring EOL doulas? (That is a dream for most people right now, hopefully one day)
  6. We’ll talk about the cost of starting or your practice/business or if you want to look for work with other organizations (this is not typical at this time in our industry in Portland, Oregon).

You’ll get a custom “Becoming a Death Doula Road map.”
