Professional & Ethical
You will receive a professional and friendly experience at Bridge the Gap, LLC. You will never experience any judgment and will always feel supported as this is our #1 goal. We also abide by a strict code of ethics, have experience with MAID (medical aid in dying) aka: death with dignity in both Oregon & Washington and also VSED (voluntary stopping eating and drinking) and our doula’s carry Healthcare Liability Insurance.
One of the greatest things we can offer as a loved one is in the active dying stage is to provide relief for the support system. If family and friends need a nap or break for a few of hours we can provide that support and stay by the their side while they’re dying. We can also create a plan so everyone feels supported during this stage of the dying process.
Much Needed Anxiety Relief For Entire Family
One of the most common things we hear from the families we work with are, overwhelm, stress, and anxiety. As end of life doulas, we specialize in helping ease the anxiety and stress that is often prevalent and debilitating to the person living with the illness and their family.
We receive ongoing training and education through many reputable organizations such as The Hospice Foundation of America, and and other continuing education programs offered in the field. Our doulas are certified and insured. There is no governing organization or formal licenses needed for death doulas. But we go above and beyond with our ongoing training.
We Create a Plan
Many people feel a sense of ease when there is a plan. We help you manage all the tasks at hand and offer emotional and spiritual support as we create a plan together. It can take hours of research trying to learn about what you need if you need palliative care or preparing for the end of life, please let us help. We want you to spend quality times with the ones you love.
